Report by Junior Administrator and Club Coach, Graeme Doerner, for the 2008 AGM
Saturday Mornings
9am class designed for 5 - 8 year olds, beginners (where all professionals start!) or non-competitive students. Advanced beginners preparing for team selection for the following season. All classes showed good improvement through the season and I look forward to their progression this season and the start of many 'tennis careers'.
Mid Week Afternoons
Teams trained well and their hard work showed in winning results - well done teams! Your result sheets showed many hard-fought games for winning results.
Junior Teams Competition - Saturdays
Girls 12's - Division 1:
Lucy Forrester, Sarah Morley, Maddy Morley, Grace Kane-Porter and reserve Lucy Collingwood. Congratulations on winning your division. Thanks to team managers Nick and Jane Morley and support supervisors Genevieve Forrester. Thanks also to the parents who came to support the team.
Girls' Satellite Division 4
Megan Sagar, Stephanie Austin, Prue Griffiths, Charlotte Griffiths and reserves Hazel Nissen and Rebecca Coapman. Thanks to team managers, Kevin and Ainsley Griffiths and Glen and Diane Sagar for standing in. Thanks also to the parents to came to support.
Congratulations to both the above teams for their success in the 2007/08 inter-club competitions. I hope to see you all back next season to help keep the club on a winning streak.

Most Improved Players
Improvement was evident throughout the junior division which makes the decision to choose the 'most improved' player a very difficult one. Performance and attitude are considered throughout the entire season. This year congratulations and well done to all the juniors. Keep up the good work.

End of Season Presentations
First season Saturday morning juniors participated in on court competitive games, with rewards for their efforts, followed by club room presentations of attendance certificates and short tennis championship trophies. The more senior juniors came in for their certificates and trophies for the championship events in the various divisions.
Thank you to our committee member, Vaughan Penney, for presenting the certificates and trophies with encouraging words. Also thank you to Mrs O'Neill and Mrs Hawkins for their willingness to organize the catering and cleaning at the end of the morning. The support of parents who happily came out on the courts and assisted with umpiring, short tennis and practice for club championships - your help was much appreciated. Assistance from David Morris throughout the season, every Saturday morning, was invaluable - thank you David.
I look forward to seeing you all for the 2008/09 season.
