Interclub Teams
If you would like to be in a team this season please contact Sheila Paisey on phone 332 2483 or email smurthwaite@xtra.co.nz. Mid September we will be asked by Canterbury Tennis to provide team names and details, and teams or players cannot be added after that date. Please express your interest to Sheila by mid September at the latest if you have any interest in forming or being part of a team. Details of competition levels, venues and dates can be obtained from Sheila Paisey.
Easi-Tennis:
This is an initiative by Canterbury tennis. The course is specifically designed for the adult beginner or the person who may not have played for many years and would like to regain confidence before playing again. The six 90-minute lessons encompass the basic strokes of the game, together with the strategy needed to get underway.
For course dates, watch out for the advertisement in the Canterbury Tennis magazine or for the flyer being placed in letterboxes in the St Martins area. If you would like more details or know someone who would be interested in taking part of this course please contact Graeme Doerner.
An incentives for existing members:
An incentive scheme has been designed to encourage current members to assist the club in finding new members. All it takes is for YOU to invite someone along to the Club and for them to become a fully paid-up member. For details on the incentive scheme, ask a committee member.
Your committee is keen to ensure Club members enjoy their tennis and The Club is providing the facilities and playing opportunities to suit their needs. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the service the Club delivers to you its members, then please feel free to contact one of the committee.
Improve your tennis and meet some great people - join a SMVTC interclub tennis team. If you are interested in joining a team then please consult the notice board for more information.
Are you Moving?
To avoid NZ Post bouncing SMVTC correspondence all the way around Christchurch in an effort to locate Club members, please advise the Secretary or Treasurer of any change to your address or phone number so that our membership list can be kept up to date.
Keeping in touch
Please let the Club Secretary, Sheila Paisey, know if you can receive correspondence by email. By sending Club correspondence via email it is much quicker and is more cost effective than snail mail (post). When next at the Club can you please add your email address to our contact list (refer to the notice board).
